Evora House

A premium digital shopping experience inspired by modern luxury

Project Overview

A premium jewellery brand set out to create an elevated digital shopping experience that reflects the quality and craftsmanship of its collections. The objective was to strengthen the brand’s online presence while creating a seamless journey from discovery to purchase across desktop and mobile.

As the lead designer, I approached the project from both a product and brand perspective, designing a cohesive experience that balances editorial storytelling with conversion-focused e-commerce.

The Challenge

The existing online shopping experience lacked the level of refinement expected from a premium jewellery brand. Navigation, product discovery, and storytelling were disconnected, making it difficult for customers to appreciate the craftsmanship behind each collection while maintaining a smooth purchasing journey.

The challenge was to create a digital experience that feels as luxurious as walking into a high-end boutique while remaining intuitive, accessible and conversion-focused.

Objectives

  • Create a premium digital-first brand experience.

  • Improve product discovery and collection browsing.

  • Increase customer confidence through refined product storytelling.

  • Simplify the purchasing journey.

  • Establish a scalable design system for future growth.

  • Deliver a consistent experience across desktop and mobile.

Strategy

The strategy phase translated research into a clear product vision, defining the principles, priorities, and experience that would guide every design decision. By aligning user needs with business objectives, the focus shifted from identifying problems to designing meaningful solutions.

Design

The design phase transformed strategic thinking into tangible user experiences, progressing from low-fidelity wireframes to polished interfaces. Each iteration focused on refining structure, usability, and visual hierarchy while ensuring the final experience reflected the brand’s premium positioning and delivered a seamless shopping journey across every touchpoint.

Wireframes

The wireframing phase focused on exploring layouts, information hierarchy, and user flows before introducing visual styling. Multiple concepts were explored and refined to ensure each page supported a seamless and intuitive shopping experience.

Visual Design

Building on the approved wireframes, the visual design phase translated the product strategy into a refined digital experience. Every interface was crafted to balance editorial elegance with usability, ensuring the jewellery remained the focal point while delivering a seamless shopping journey.

Responsive Experience

The experience was designed as a fully responsive product across desktop, tablet, and mobile, ensuring a seamless shopping journey regardless of device. Each breakpoint was thoughtfully adapted to preserve the brand’s premium aesthetic while maintaining usability, readability, and effortless navigation.

Design System

To ensure consistency and scalability across the product, a comprehensive design system was created to establish clear foundations for every interface. From typography and colour to reusable components and interaction patterns, each element was designed to create a cohesive and recognisable experience while supporting future growth.

Objectives

  • Create visual consistency

  • Build reusable components

  • Define design foundations

  • Support scalability

The complete design system, including components, typography, colour tokens, and interaction patterns, is currently in development and will be available soon.

Final Thoughts

Designing this website was an opportunity to explore how thoughtful digital experiences can elevate a luxury brand beyond the products themselves. Every decision, from the visual identity and photography direction to the shopping journey and product presentation, was made to create a calm, refined experience that reflects the quality of the jewellery.

The project reinforced the importance of balancing aesthetics with usability. While the interface embraces minimalism, every interaction was carefully considered to reduce friction and keep the focus on the craftsmanship and storytelling behind each collection.

Ultimately, the goal was not simply to design an e-commerce website, but to create a digital experience that feels as premium, timeless, and memorable as the jewellery itself.
